The topics covered by Material Culture include all aspects of the study of material items from any world regional focus. These include: the role of products and commodities in the global economy, the cultural patterns that explain distribution and diffusion; exploration of cultural patterns in performing and visual arts; understanding tradition and innovation among individuals and the societies creating them; the meaning and importance of past and contemporary objects to their makers and users; attempts at restoring and maintaining folk and popular culture landscape elements; and the importance of understanding the relationship of material culture in the contemporary landscape.
The Journal of Material Culture explores the relationship between artifacts and social relations. It draws on a range of disciplines including anthropology, archaeology, design studies, history, human geography, and museology.
Building Material is the journal of the Architectural Association of Ireland. It covers both practice and research-based developments within architecture in Ireland. Current thinking is explored thematically and critically evaluated in each issue, with analyses and ideas usually presented in light of related or overlapping disciplines. Developments, research, and innovation in both practice and theory are thus posited adn explored within the broader cultural context reflecting the cultural, professional, and scholastic position of contemporary architecture and architectural thinking within Ireland and internationally.

Material Design and Processing Communicatons seeks to spread and promote materials research advancing the understanding and applicability of novel design methodologies, production technologies, and failure prediction model technologies.
Journal of Material Cycles and Waste Management
The Journal of Material Cycles and Waste Management specializes in the interdisciplinary science of material cycles and waste management. The journal has a twofold focus: research in technical, political, and environmental problems of material cycles and waste management; and information that contributes to the development of an interdisciplinary science of material cycles and waste management.
