About

I work in partnership with librarians, archivists, curators, and library staff on enhancing their teaching practices - both in-person and online and I develop strategy, programs and partnerships around campus to further the Libraries impact on student learning.

I am a self-appointed information literacy nerd - I enjoy working with learners on how to dislodge and disrupt their prior knowledge and experience with using, finding, and evaluating information to make them better citizens of information and better academic researchers. I am interested in working with students on how and why information is used, stored and organized, and how having these knowledge, skills, and values helps learners become more effective and ethical evaluators of information in their personal and academic lives.

My research interests revolve around the connections between misinformation techniques and information literacy - how conceptual understandings in information literacy can help us combat misinformation.

I am a co-curriculum designer, presenter coordinator and presenter for the Association of College and Research Libraries' professional development workshop "Engaging with the ACRL Framework."

I also developed the Academic Integrity at the University of Minnesota short course.
