Find Streaming Film
- Libraries SearchSearch the University of Minnesota Libraries to find streaming film as well as books, scholary articles, and more. Limit to streaming by selecting the "Videos" and "Available Online" on the right.
- Digital Content LibraryConsists of around 300,000 images, videos, audio, and other formats from teaching and research collections across the University of Minnesota. This is particularly useful source for foreign language film. Some items are password protected because of copyright considerations and can be used for educational purposes only.The DCL is run by LATIS. It spans most of the twentieth century and covers countries such as the USSR, Vietnam, China, Korea, much of Eastern Europe, the GDR, Britain and Cuba.

Find DVDs, VHS
Use the Libraries Search to find DVDs, VHS and streaming available via the Libraries. Most of the DVDs and VHS are housed in the Walter Library Media Collection (room 206) but you can have them sent to another UMN library.
To view a DVD or VHS, use the Walter Media Viewing Room which has a capacity for 12. A reservation usually required. Equipment includes a universal DVD player.
For films not available, use WorldCat to request via interlibrary loan.
