Passport will no longer be licensed by the library effective at the end of August. This was a joint decision with the Duluth campus based on declining usage and the acquisition of Statista which offers similar data from Euromonitor as an easy alternative to Passport.


2020 MN CUP Division Showcases [Online] August 4th-August 14th

In its 16th Season, MN Cup is excited to showcase the top ten startups competing in each of our nine divisions. These founders are each vying for the $30,000 in seed capital awarded to division winners and the chance to compete for the $50,000 Grand Prize in September. Join Tuesday, August 4th through Friday, August 14th online for a chance to see each semifinalist share their business before they move on to the final round.

COVID-19 and Labor Market Impacts [Webinar] on August 6th, 1-2p.m.

Professor Morris Kleiner and 2020 Master of Public Policy graduate Nick Stumo-Langer will seek to dissect the following questions surrounding COVID-19 and the labor market:

  • What impact did public policies responding to the health crisis to mandate business closures have on the labor market, including unemployment and wage changes by sectors in the economy?
  • How did the government impact the health care sector by relaxing occupational licensing policies?
  • What are the implications for a potential recovery, and what will be the income distribution effects?
